Most notes apps are one of three things: a database dressed up as documents (Notion), a local vault you sync yourself (Obsidian), or a plaintext archive you never open (Apple Notes). Muninn is a fourth: a private markdown notes workspace built to be read and written by AI assistants.
What's inside
- Real markdown. No blocks, no proprietary shape. What you write is what you get on export.
- Folders and pins. Group notes into collections, pin the ones you use every day, archive what you don't.
- MCP endpoint. Point Claude Desktop, Claude Code, ChatGPT, or any MCP client at Muninn and it can search, read, and write your notes on request.
- Private by default. Every note is scoped to your user ID by database policy. Nothing is used for AI training.
- Mobile-ready. Full mobile layout with swipe and long-press gestures.
- Export any time. One click, ZIP of all your markdown.
